pain coaching

Are you suffering from nagging or longstanding pain?

If you are, you know how much pain can affect all aspects of our lives.

As a licensed physical therapist and someone who's had back pain for over 12 years, I've come to realize the level of depth and complexity of living with pain.

I’ve experienced the frustration, the anger, the confusion, the questions, and the hopelessness.

The pain has led me to look closely at my life, my body, and my suffering. It pushed me to look deeper and broader to find the answers that I seek.

What I’ve learned from my experiences is that often a focus on the body—or the mind—falls short. This is because we are complex mind-body entities, and yet we are more than the sum of our parts.

What would your life look like if you were suffering less—or not at all—from the pain?

What would it be like to feel safe in your own body?

My mission is to help you discover this.

pain coaching vs. physical therapy

Physical therapy traditionally has an emphasis on determining the physical contributions to peoples' pain or problems and using physical means to resolve them as much as possible.

Of course, PT has evolved over time and has moved considerably toward a more holistic approach. Yet the focus still lies on the physical, and our expectations tend to accompany that.

But pain is so much more than that. It encompasses our entire life. Our entire being.

Pain Coaching provides us the open space to explore the depth and breadth of the pain without constraint. Without a particular focus other than you, your values, your experiences, and your healing.

With this freedom, we can go wherever we need to go to help you move toward a life of less suffering and more safety.
